        A Word from Janet

When I quit work to stay home with our first child fifteen years ago, I was totally at a loss how to manage my household and cope with the resulting feelings of inadequacy, so I began to investigate organizing methods and cleaning principles. As I read what others recommended on how to "work smarter, not harder," I also turned to God's Word for answers--and found them! In addition to Proverbs 31, many passages of Scripture encouraged me to view homemaking as a way to glorify God and to love my family.

Eventually, I published an article on organizing, then was invited to speak at my church. The makeup of the audience surprised me; the room was full of women of all ages! Later when my sister-in-law Kathy and I began teaching seminars together, we discovered that women in any age and stage of life can feel overwhelmed by routine household chores and are hungry for helpful tips.

We hope you find in these pages good ideas that will help you control some desperate areas of your life. Our aim is not to impress others, but to bless them. A peaceful, orderly home will attract family and friends inside where you can pamper them and minister to them. Our tips and ideas change periodically, so please visit us again!

      A Word from Kathy

As a wife and home schooling mom, I certainly understand how quickly a day that starts in delight can change to one of desperation!  With three energetic boys (two school age and one toddler) I jokingly tell people that everything in my house is either broken or dirty! Can you relate?

Almost seven years ago, Janet and I started these classes because we were dealing with our own areas of desperation. As we began sharing with other ladies what we were learning, we quickly discovered we weren't the only ones struggling to maintain a healthy balance. We learned so many wonderful things, but the most important was that, once again, God's Word held the answers and tools we needed to manage all areas of our life--even housework and finances!

Our heartbeat for this ministry is to help women of ALL ages gain control over their routine but often stressful areas of life. Only then will we be free to make an eternal impact on those God has placed around us.  We can't be a delightful fragrance to others if we are always living in desperation (see 2 Cor. 2:14-16).
